The Magikland Theme Park entrance price will drop from P280 to P150 only on March 12 and 13 (Thursday and Friday) as part of AtonLand and Leisure Inc. chairman Simplicio Palanca’s 97th birthday celebration, Jessric Naria, Magikland sales and marketing manager, announced yesterday.
Naria said the park in Brgy. Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental, will open at 1 p.m. and close at 8 p.m. on those days.
On Saturday and Sunday park hours are 1 to 9 p.m., he said.
Magikland, the first Filipino Theme Park in the Visayas, opened in September 2019 and has become an entertainment and educational trip destination for locals and visitors to Negros Occidental from other areas all over the country, Naria said.
The park that is still on its soft opening phase, sits on a 24-hectare property.
Park guests enjoy the 12 kiddie and family rides spread around three themed zones – mystical, cultural and magical, with edutainment highlights at the bird portal, the varied architectural structures based on the historical and ancestral homes of Silay, and the butanding cave, Naria said.
A food court and restaurants as well as game kiosks now also serve park visitors.
Magikland’s theme is culled from local folklore and legend. A highlight of the daily park program includes a cultural presentation featuring the mascot, Bakunawa, and the four mythical child warriors Boy Bakunawa, Pat Patag, Kit Kanlaon and Mara Marapara, he said.
Another promo has also been introduced for the month of March – The Tiny Tots Package. Every Thursday and Friday of March, children with valid Nursery, Prep or Kindergarten identification cards for schoolyear 2019-2020 are given free admission plus unlimited rides for the day, he said.
